Past Projects

Monterra

For a community that was created over two decades ago, these luxury townhomes continue to be identified as an address of influence in Tsawwasswen due to the thoughtfulness of the overall Rykon design.  Throughout every phase of construction only quality materials and unparalleled guarantees on roofing and exterior siding were implemented, which was unheard of for a multi-family development at the time and garnered this first-of-its-kind community the award for BC’s Best Residential Development.

Ocean Park Grove

Built in 1987, one of Rykon’s first signature projects, the 60 townhomes within this community were designed in a more affordable one-level/rancher style to meet the challenging market conditions of the time. This created a niche product that offered a rich level of interior design and exterior detailing well above the current standards that realtors describe today as “terrific street appeal” and “preferred real estate” for single professionals or the newly retired.

Brambley Hedge

In 1994, Brambley Hedge proved to be a winner combining several floor plans and exterior choices with main level living (master down) and traditional room layouts. This struck a chord with purchasers who embraced the opportunity to engage with our team to customize their new home without being overwhelmed by the process of building on their own.  Once again, with all the choices available, the guarantee of construction quality and the high value location, the development sold out within weeks of launching — realtors credit the community today for its “timeless appearance.”

Manteo

In 1994, Rykon built the landmark vacation property on the shores of Okanagan Lake – a family vacation experience with unparalleled comfort and luxury, including spacious villas and boat docking facilities.  The harbinger of resorts for the waterfront in the trendy mission district of Kelowna, the resort offers an indoor/outdoor pool with waterslide, a kids club, an entertainment centre, health spa, a ballroom with floor-to-ceiling glass walls opening to an expansive outdoor reception area with waterfront access, a beach with a boardwalk and was the first city dining room to introduce an outdoor barbecue on the patio during the summer season and an open kitchen concept. “Meet you at Manteo” is all you need to say in the Okanagan.

Somerville Corner

In 2004, Rykon embraced a neo-traditional design of neighborhood of 122 small lot and rancher style homes in a pocket size community in Kelowna’s tony mission district. Keeping the home styles consistent yet offering homeowners a voice in customization of individual floorplans and interior design details was an instant hit as it offered both affordability and quality construction. The development quickly sold out and has risen exponentially in value with few re-sales available.

Southbay Landing

Through an early personal relationship with the owners, Rykon secured one of the most prized properties in the Okanagan over several prominent Vancouver developers, and worked with the owners to ensure a suitable legacy and a new home on the property’s most prominent viewpoint. This was to become the most coveted address in Kelowna, with only 30 homes, a small clubhouse with pool, private beach and boat slip for each homeowner.  Despite complicated approvals and involvement from several government bodies for environmental reviews, docks, and foreshore development, this project succeeded as planned.  Resale values more than tripled for the first owners, and the community remains a much-valued address.

Southpointe on Big White

Located in Happy Valley at Big White, Southpointe is a standout with its attention to detail in exterior finishing with a handsome mix of richly stained timbers and beams, tan stucco and attractive stonework.  The entire building is shaped like a courtyard that is open in the middle with a circular drive in and out of the complex. With the distinctive tower corner and the arched stone ski tunnel that will connect Phase 1 and 2, it is going to offer a very unique and upscale appeal from the street and ski runs. The interiors are upscale ski chalets with gourmet kitchens featuring granite countertops, maple cabinets, Douglas Fir floors with heated slate floors in the entry and bathrooms. Stone fireplaces add to the ambiance and oversize steam showers soothe away aching muscles at the end of a ski day.

Snowbanks at Big White

Snowbanks is a six unit — luxury high end, ski in ski out building on the Serwa trail. Intelligently designed to deliver the maxim space with privacy for guests yet deliver spacious comfort with luxurious features. Hardwood floors and cabinetry combined with large stone fireplaces, open lofts, expansive culinary kitchens and large dining areas with mountain views create the perfect setting for ski getaway.

Sonoma Pines

The vibrant Sante Fe exteriors of Sonoma Pines is the first impression to this distinctive development wrapped around the fairways of Two Eagles Golf Course in West Kelowna. Visitors to the Sales Centre appreciate the remarkable value when they tour through the showhomes and see the quality construction in the interior finishes and learn about the low maintenance of the acrylic exteriors. Built in phases, the development is a thoughtfully planned mix of single-family, multi-level and innovative one-level townhomes strategically located on a downward slope that optimizes vineyard, lake and fairway views. Homeowners choose from a wide range of floorplans and interior finishes with an option to have their basements (optional) left unfinished or finished by the builder at a later date. Sonoma Pines is the Okanagan’s #1 Selling New Home Development due its enviable location, reputation for quality construction and irresistible value in the real estate market.

Wilden

For the first time Rykon Construction Management proudly adds Wilden to their growing list of building quality homes in neighbourhoods of distinction.  These homes are strictly custom designed and as such are a glimpse of the breadth and scope of the quality that the team can provide in exceeding their client’s expectations from design to delivery. “The enthusiastic response we receive when our clients move into their new homes always reminds us about the importance of listening. We excel in our attention to the small details,” says Randy Siemens. The Rykon mission has not been to just construct buildings; it has been to help craft dreams. They have sincerely pursued an objective of building relationships with customers. Their business is established on a solid footing of excellence-one nail at a time.
